2020 primary 2 & primary 3 nativity

While we were very disappointed that we couldn't have live audiences for our traditional performances, each of our classes prepared and filmed separate Christmas performances. Our thanks are extended to Mr Steve Earley for his time, patience and technical skills in recording and putting the P2 & P3 performance all together.

Thanks also to the school staff and Governors involved including Miss Taggart, Mrs O’Lone, Mrs McFerran, Ms Matthews and Mrs Jones for their help putting up the backdrop, photographic skills and makeup work!
Primary 2 and 3 put on their very best performance and we hope you enjoy it!

2020 Primary 4 - primary 7
virtual carol service

We are very sorry not to have been able to have an audience for our traditional Carol Service this year. To mark the occasion, we have instead filmed a short 'virtual' Carol Service instead. We hope the readings and songs will help lift your spirits and remind each of us of everything we have to be grateful for.

A special mention to our readers, our soloists and our live musician, a Primary 7 pupil.

While we're really disappointed that we couldn't share our traditional Christmas performances with a live audience, we're pleased to be able to shared some highlights here to help get you feeling in the mood for Christmas.

Mrs Harbinson's Reception & Primary 1 class have filmed a live version of their Nativity. Our thanks go to all the children for learning their lines and their big clear voices on the day- what a fabulous job! Thank you to our parents for your help with preparations and to go our school team- Mrs Harbinson, Ms Matthews, Mr Wilson & Mrs Perry. A special thanks is also extended to Mrs Perry for her work in filming and compiling the film you see here. I think you'll agree that these 4 and 5 year olds have performed brilliantly. Well done to them all!

beauty and the beast

We were delighted to take the whole school to visit the Grand Opera House in Belfast (Thursday 12 December 2019) before it closed its doors to allow renovation works to commence. The children had a great time watching 'Beauty and the Beast' and were floored by some of the stunning visual effects. Who knows what this experience could inspire for some of our children!

Super stan performances

Congratulations to the wonderful cast of our recent production- ‘The Amazing Adventures of Super Stan’. Children performed the dress rehearsal to their friends from St Patrick’s, Ballygalget before doors opened to the wider school community with public performances held on Wednesday 10 April (1:15pm) and on Thursday 11 April (6:30pm).

The children grew in confidence with each performance, producing a stunning finale on the Thursday evening. As ever, our thanks are extended to the children for all their hard work, to families for their support and to the staff and volunteers who helped prepare the children and the wonderful set. Your support is greatly appreciated.

The inn-spectors

Children in Reception, Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 have been very busy learning lots of new songs and learning their lines for our Christmas Nativity this year. They would be delighted if you were able to come along on either the Tuesday afternoon (18 December- 1pm) or else the Wednesday evening (19 December – 6:30pm – 7pm) to watch them perform 'The Inn-Spectors'.

Children performing on Wednesday evening should arrive back at school at 6pm to allow them time to prepare and get into costume.

UTV visit

We were delighted to be visited by UTV following the release of our Christmas Single. The TV cameras filmed our fabulous choir performing 'Together For Christmas' alongside the more traditional, 'Once in Royal David's City'. One of the performances will be shown on television on 23 December after the evening news. Well done to all the members of our choir and a special mention to Jacob for his fabulous solo.

2018 Christmas single released

Hot on the heels of our first published book comes the release of our 2018 Christmas Single! Together For Christmas was written by Mr Graham, conducted by Mr Irwin, recorded in the Montgomery Hall and mixed at Hop Pole Studios in Manchester. The artwork was designed by Jordan. I think you’ll agree it sounds fantastic.

Our thanks go to our wonderful PTFA for funding the mixing costs of our Christmas song. The single can be streamed online and is available as a free download from our music website:
